What we do with your details

This website is operated by Fixr Systems Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15889598, trading as East Cambs Oven Cleaning. We are the data controller for anything you send through this site. You can reach us through the form on the contact page.

The enquiry form asks for five things: your name, a phone number, the village or town you are in, which appliance needs cleaning, and whatever you choose to write in the notes box. That is the lot. There is no account to create, no password, no address line and no payment details taken anywhere on this site.

If you go on to book, we will end up knowing your address because somebody has to come to it, and what we did on the day so the invoice makes sense.

One job collects more than that, and it is the only one. The end of tenancy pack includes dated photographs of the oven, the hob and the extractor, taken so the work can be evidenced at a checkout. Those photographs go to whoever is paying for the job, which is usually the landlord or the letting agent, because that is the whole purpose of taking them. They are of the appliances and the kitchen, not of anybody in the property.

To reply with a price, arrange a time and do the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and once a job is done, our legal obligation to keep records for tax.

An enquiry arrives as an email and stays in that inbox. It is not added to a mailing list, it is not sold, it is not passed to advertisers and it is not used to send you anything you did not ask for. If somebody else ends up doing the work for us, they get what they need to turn up and do it, and no more.

This site sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session tracking, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

One thing is worth stating plainly, because it is the only point where anything about your visit reaches somebody else. The coverage map on the area pages loads its tiles from OpenStreetMap, so when it loads, OpenStreetMap sees the request and with it your IP address, the same as any image loaded from another site would. We receive nothing from that, and the map only loads if you scroll to it. Everything else on this site, including the typefaces, is served from our own domain.

In our email, on servers inside the UK or the European Economic Area. Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are plainly going nowhere. Records of work we have actually done are kept for six years, because that is how long company records have to be kept for tax.

Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless it is part of a record we have to keep for tax, in which case we will say so and delete the rest.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which is the UK regulator for this.

If the site starts doing something new with data, this page changes at the same time rather than afterwards, and the date at the top changes with it.
