The terms we work to

East Cambs Oven Cleaning is a trading name of Fixr Systems Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15889598. We are not registered for VAT, so there is no VAT to add to anything quoted on this site.

The price is fixed in writing before we set off and it is the price you pay. A single oven is £70 and a double £85; the full list is on the prices page. The minimum for a visit is £65, which only comes into it when there is no oven in the job.

The condition of an appliance never changes the price. The only thing that does is an appliance that was not mentioned when you asked, and that is a new line on the quote rather than a surprise on the invoice. If we find one on the day we tell you the price before we touch it.

Travel is included within 12 miles of Burwell and a flat £10 beyond it, and it is in the number you are given before you book.

Payment is due when the work is finished, by cash or bank transfer. There is no deposit, nothing is taken up front, and there is no call out fee.

Tell us as soon as you can if a date stops working and we will move it. Nothing is charged for changing or cancelling a booking.

Because bookings are made at a distance, you also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason. If you ask us to come inside those 14 days, which most people do, you can still cancel, and you would only owe us for work already carried out at that point. As nothing is paid in advance, in practice that means nothing.

Nothing is charged. We rebook it. All we ask is that you tell us if something changes, so we are not standing on a doorstep working it out.

Somebody to let us in, power, water, enough room to work in front of the appliance and somewhere clear to lay the oven door down. For an empty property between tenants, please check the power and the water are still on.

The appliance needs to be cold. An AGA or any cast iron range has to be shut down in advance, which we agree with you when you book.

Some damage is already done before we arrive: a pitted base, crazed door glass, enamel that has been scoured, catalytic liners that have had caustic cleaner on them. None of that comes back, whoever cleans it.

We tell you which parts those are before we start rather than afterwards, and the price stands for the work we do on everything else.

Tell us and we will put it right where we can. If we damage something through our own carelessness we will repair or replace it.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, our responsibility is limited to putting the work right or refunding what you paid for it.

Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
